Uri Dromi {"The real Mideast divide" Oct. 4} draws a fanciful picture of poor peace-loving Israel threatened by its neighbours. There is not a word about Israel's long-standing history of wars of aggression against its neighbours, in 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, amongst others. That is not to mention the systematic planned ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, who we are now told should not be allowed to return to their homes, a right that is in colmpliance with UN resolutions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
