He speaks of Palestinians using violence against Israel. This violence is a direct outcome of an illegal oppressive occupation that has been allowed to stand, in defiance of international law and repeated Security Council resolutions, for 35 years. Israeli practices include detention without charge or trial,torture, extra-judicial assassination, demolition of thousands of homes, uprooting of hundreds of thousands of olive and fruit trees, expropriation of property and creation of illegal settlements, all in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. These actions have been condemned, as war crimes, by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Israeli human rights organisation, B'Tselem.

Does Daniel Pipes expect the Palestinians, who are subjected to daily humiliation and human degradation, to shower bouquets of flowers on their oppressors? UN Charter entitles all people, including even the Palestinians, under foreign occupation to resist such occupation.
