Dear Editor:

 

Marcus Gee continues ,in his daily "World Watch", his biased analysis of the news. His reiteration of Israeli call for continued attacks and assassination of Palestinians comparing that with US attacks against Bin Laden. He omits to note that the Palestinians are under illegal Israeli occupation, that stands in defiance of international law and repeated Security Council resolutions. He needs to remember that international law entitles all peoples, including even the Palestinian people, the right to resist foreign occupation. We all supported the French Resistance to fight the illegal Nazi occupation. Similarly, we supported  Mandela and the African National Congress in their resistance against oppression.

 

The real terrorists in the occupied Palestinian territories are the occupiers who continue to murder hundreds of Palestinians and demolish their homes and uproot their trees and bombard their towns and villages. Mr. Sharon is calling on Arafat to hand over the killers of Zeevi. How many of the Israelis who assassinate daily Palestinian leaders have been handed to Arafat for trial?

 

Must this practice of double standards continue and Israel remain above international law?
