In your editorial :["End Illegal settlements" March 11], you quite rightly call for ending the illegal unauthorized settlements. It has to be remembered that not only the hundreds of 'outposts', that have been built on strategic hills, are illegal. All settlements, authorised or otherwise by the the Israeli government, built in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are illegal, as defined by Security Council resolution and the Fourth Geneva Convention, and must all be dismantled, if there is going to be peace in this tortured land.
