Dear Editor;

Jeffrey Simpson, in his column: {" Stephen Harper's proactive inactive foreign policy" Jan. 16}, has it exactly right when he says: " Mr. Harper has shifted Canada's position on the Palestinian-Israeli question to align the country with the preferences of the Canada-Israel Committee." Canada's credibility is not only shattered in the Arab and Muslim worlds but also amongst the vast majority of members of the international community who still care for international law, the UN Charter and universal human rights, which Israel continues to completely disregard.
