Dear Mr. Dion:

 

We read with astonishment and horror the report in Now Magazine, Toronto, quoting a statement by Mr. Ken Dryden M.P. calling for a halt to all aid to Gaza, including humanitarian aid and food to 1.5 million people. This appalling statement is a call for mass murder by starvation and denial of all health care, and stands in violation of all principles of humanity and is in defiance of international law and basic principles of humane consideration.

 

Are we to understand that this call truly represents the principles by which the Liberal Party of our country stand? If not, then it is the responsibility of the party leader to take appropriate action against this statement and those who pronounce it.

 

We trust to have your prompt response to this unacceptable stand.
