Dear Producer:

Today, Thursday, feb 21, 2001, I watched your news at 10:00 a.m. Halifax time, and saw Neil MacDonald's report from Israel and the Occupied territories. His report included the bombing of a Palestinian broadcasting station for alleged incitement. He stated that incitement is there and went on to quote incitement and racist remarks, made in the Knesset, about Palestinians being snakes and should be expelled and treated like the Kurds in Iraq. He finished his statement by saying " Or is that free speech?"

Interestingly, I watched your news report, an hour and two hours later, at 11:00 a.m.and noon, Halifax time, and surprisingly Neil Macdonald's report was amputated after his statement about palestinian incitement, and cutting out his report about Israeli leaders' incitement and racist remarks in the Knesset.

Is this " the free speech" he referred to or is this " free CBC censorship?"

I think the Canadian public are entitled to have the full picture and not a one-sided censored biased view.

Yours sincerely
