Halifax -- Shira Herzog, in her article Why Ariel Sharon Is The Real Man Of The Year (Jan. 6), is totally evading the real agenda behind Mr. Sharon's disengagement plan.
His adviser, Dov Weisglass, told Haaretz on Oct. 6: "The significance of our disengagement plan is the freezing of the peace process. It supplies the formaldehyde necessary so there is no political process with the Palestinians."
If this what makes Mr. Sharon the man of the year, then let us at least know exactly why.
