A.Mark Clarefield, in his letter { "Arab Women's rights" June 26}, states :" Arab Women's rights are best protected in Israel." This statement has no basis in fact. Neither Arab women nor men in Israel have equal rights with Jewish Israeli citizens. An Arab woman in Israel is not allowed to marry a Palestinian or Arab man outside Israel. Are these the rights Mr. Brakefield talking about?
