Dear Mr. Chretien,
The report of our cabinet ministers and MP's participating
in a conference sponsored by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in
support of Israeli government policies, is surprising and irregular. These
policies include longstanding illegal occupation of foreign territories, in
violation of international law and in defiance of repeated Security
Council resolutions and The Fourth Geneva Convention
and are clearly contrary to our Government policies.
To compound this irregularity, it is outrageous that our
taxpayers' dollars should be allowed to fund such activities. We call on our
Government to disallow that.
